Syn is an international audio company that specialises in innovative ways of creating sounds for prestigious clients.
Alongside designing record covers, I was delighted to work on a very special project Nick Wood, Syn's CEO had envisioned:
Make custom labels for Sake bottles to celebrate the New Year using sound.
The artworks were generated using a code that harnesses image generation logic to create shapes, and colour them, using fields recording an on-site photographs captured by Nick Wood, at Oirase Gorge in Aomori, Japan. The waters from this lake are used to craft the sake.
Each of the 5 seasons of the Japanese year was used to create a collection of bottles and greeting cards.
